The first in a series of compilations on the new SOURCECODE imprint is selected by label head honcho ZEN MECHANICS. A line-up of expert audio alchemists, transmitting heart-coded pirate signals from their inner cybersanctums, skilfully tweaked to ensure maximum dancefloor action. VERTICAL MODE sets the tone with soulful pads and laser guided melodies that bounce off rocksolid slabs of groove, followed by veteran DICKSTER on a 136 bpm offbeat tip that unfolds into funked up peaktime psychedelia in the blink of the third eye. SYMBOLIC taps right into the sound that's currently sweeping through Israel's desertparty scene like a sandstorm and E-CLIP & EGORYTHMIA's dystopian aesthetic reveals itself in a soundtrack for late night cruises through orbital concrete jungles. MENTAL BROADCAST dials in from the core of the Amazon with a pre-dawn technoshamanic session while labelpartner LIFTSHIFT expresses his love for sacred plants and a knack for crafting elegant, meticulously unfolding Trance. Nextdoor's jamsession by ZEN MECHANICS & FUTURE FREQUENCY (AVALON's new project) results in an incessant tribal stomp before zipping airborne to glide in a state of tranced euphoria, and SONIC SPECIES proceed to take things a few microdots higher with their take on Dickster's classic 'Dizzy Drops'. EARTHLING navigates through coastal fluorescent jungles, lunar starship hangars and finally parks it in the shade of Rayastan's sun-scorched temples. Tune in!
